|
|
|
The history fair is an exhibition of projets based on an exploration or investigation
of issues relating to Seychelles history. The projects should not be a display of posters or pictures
only, but must have evidence of basic research methods, data collection and presentation
of findings. The projects may be in the form of (working) models, posters, pictures
collection of artefacts together withb research findings. All projects must address the
proposed theme.
The history fair is an additional attraction to the school calendar. It is a means of
promoting interest and enthusiasm in the learning of history as a subject in the national
curriculum.
|
More importantly, it encourages the development of life-long skills,
awareness of past events and their impacts on society as well as an appreciation of
the motherland.
The history fair is to be held every two years and would be open for participation
from primary and secondary schools, post secondary institutions and adults. Participants
are encouraged to give priority to historical developments in their districts.
