Before making any transfer of records to us for archiving, you should give the Records Unit at the National Archives a call with the following information:

• When can you transfer or when you intend to transfer
• what are your transport arrangements

Then we will advice you how to sort out the records you intend to transfer e.g. in alphabetical order, and to ensure that a list of the records is transferred with your records.
