The official launching of ‘Amis Des Archives Des Seychelles’ will be held on the 13th November 2010 in correlation with the National Archives' open day. This non-Government association is a member of LUNGOS, and is characterized by the following principles which are integrated in its constitution.

Mission Statement
To promote the effective acquisition and conservation of Seychelles documentary heritage by the National Archives and to optimise its benefits to the general public.
Objectives

To support and advance the objectives of the Seychelles National Archives with regards to the acquisition and optimal preservation of archival records

To promote public awareness of and access to the National Archives

To optimise the archives’ contribution to the national pursuit of sustainable development (i.e. social, economic and environmental)

To interact with other archival institutions/sources in Seychelles relating to Seychelles

To raise and/or access funds and develop strategic partnership in order to advance the above objectives
